1  What are the different qualities of carpets?

The Rug Knots carries a huge range of Hand Knotted Carpets, Hand Tufted Carpets and Flat Weave Dhurries. In terms of design types, The Rug Knots has Contemporary and Modern RugsTraditional Persian Carpets and Transitional Carpets. The most widely used materials are Wool, Pure Silk, Bamboo Silk etc.

2  What are the different types of designs The Rug Knots has?

Hands collection of carpets and rugs covers all the 3 design types ie. Contemporary and Modern RugsTraditional Persian Carpets and Transitional Carpets.

3  What kind of carpets & rugs are recommended for a home and a hotel by The Rug Knots?

For Home you can just choose any of the rug from The Rug Knots as all of them are suited for residential usage. However, for Hotels Hand Tufted carpets in 100% Wool or with a 20% Nylon blend are most widely used.

4  What kind of design should I choose for my formal living room?

For the formal Living room, you can make a selection according to the type of Interior or your personal taste. For a very Contemporary look you can select from Urbane and Lost Heritage range. If you have a bend towards traditional look, we highly recommend our Amberlynn Collection or else you can opt for Persian carpets collection.

5  What do you recommend for bedroom rug?

For the bedroom rug, we would recommend any of our Bamboo silk rugs. They are very soft to feel and are available across almost all the design genres and qualities.

6  Do you have any kids carpet?

Any of the rug from our Zorex collection is just the right kind of rug that you would want for the kids room. They come in very interesting shapes and are made of Bamboo Silk. They have a plush look and soft feel.

7  Which quality and design is best suited for dining room rug?

You can select from either of the qualities ie. Hand Knotted or a Hand Tufted carpet for the Dining Room. An overall pattern or just the border design is most recommended for carpet under the Dining Table. You can look for options in our Cryo and Graphite Collection.

8  What sizes are available?

Our carpets and rugs are available in standard sizes starting from 3’ x 5’, 4’6’’ x 6’6’’, 5’6’’ x 8’, 6’ x 9’, 8’ x 10’, 9’ x 12’, 10’ x 14’ and 12’ x 15’. Apart from these we can make them in any size as per your requirement. The lead time would vary according to quality and size.

9  Can you make any size as per requirement?

Since our carpets and rugs are handmade, we have the flexibility of making them in any size, small or big. We have the capability to produce extra-large Carpets in single piece.

10  Do you do custom made carpets and rugs?

Yes, we do custom made carpets and rugs too. You have the option of selecting any of our design and change colour, size and material of your choice. You can also give your own design or our Design Studio can also do a Bespoke rug for you.

11  What is the difference between a carpet and a rug?

Technically, a carpet is a floor covering that is laid wall to wall, and rugs cover only a small area or they are area specific. But in India, “carpet” and “rug” are just used to denote a covering over the floor.

12  What are the different materials used by The Rug Knots?

The Rug Knots carpets are made of different materials like Wool, Pure silk, Botanical silk, Bamboo Silk and banana silk etc. We also use Wool Nylon blend for Commercial hospitality requirement. We have outdoor carpet range in Polypropylene and Polyester whereas some our flatweave rugs are made of Jute and Sisal.

13  Where all The Rug Knots is available?

Technically, a carpet is a floor covering that is laid wall to wall, and rugs cover only a small area or they are area specific. But in India, “carpet” and “rug” are just used to denote a covering over the floor.

14  Are your carpets washable, how do you maintain them?

Only Hand Knotted carpets are washable and rest are dry cleanable. Washing must be done by a professional washer only. Please see our maintenance guide for more details.

15  What is the life of a carpet or a rug?

Hand Knotted carpets have a very long life if they are used with care. Some of the qualities are heirloom carpets which can be passed on to the next generation too. Hand Tufted carpets can easily survive 5 to 7 years with proper use and maintenance.

16  Do you do anti stain treatment?

17  Are your products are eco-friendly?

Yes, The Rug Knots carpets and rugs are eco-friendly. (Quality)

18  Why all carpets shed fibre?

Fibre shedding is a common occurrence with new carpeting. Carpets shed fibres from the pile through foot traffic and vacuuming. This is normal for carpets with staple yarn/ spun yarn in a cut pile. The shedding will drastically reduce within a few months of installation in the home. The carpet will shed in a much smaller amount for its lifetime in the home.
